Apple Macintosh or Apple Mac is a computer and an operating system made by Apple Inc.

The actual computer is the Apple Computer, iMac being one of the latest computers. In the modern computer world, the main competition is between personal computers (IBM-compatible) and Apple Computer.

The operating system of Macintosh systems is now referred to as Mac OS.
