GMPedia.org has specific standards that have to be followed with articles (with the exception of tutorials). This is a short list of them, that will be improved later:

[edit] Point of View

When referring to a person, always use the third person point of view, using words like "him"/"her"/"he"/"she". If you are talking about the person using the software, use the term: "the user".

Never use the first person point of view; e.g: "I researched about this subject and I found out that Game Maker is slower than C++". There are no exceptions to this rules.

Never use the second person point of view (talking to the reader); e.g: "You must pay 500 dollars a month to use Microsoft Windows Vista.". There could be exceptions to this rule where a step-by-step tutorial.

[edit] In-wiki Linking

Main article: Project:WIKIFY

Always add Inwiki-links; e.g: Not "Linus Torvalds is the creator of Linux, and its kernel.", but "Linus Torvalds is the creator of Linux, and its kernel.", as this raises the amount of articles needed, and makes the wiki run as there's always new stuff to write!

[edit] Spelling

Always use proper spelling; if you're not good at typing with a computer, just type it the way you want to and run it through a spell checker; as long as it's not impossible to make "proper" without a total rewrite, it should be ok (and somebody will fix your spelling later).
